I don't memorialize that but I do remember he was financially in trouble. In fact, despite everyone around him telling him he was bankrupt, the DON refused to believe it.

No, he didn't. His casino empire did arrange for bankruptcy which is different from him personally filing for bankruptcy. A bit of a conundrum in terms, I suppose.
