Last weekend had the convergence of three vital CLE conferences in three particular parts of the rural area. The American Bankruptcy Association held its Annual Source Tryst in Washington, D.C., the Commercial Law Conspire held its Midwest Regional Assignation in Chicago and the Citizen Relationship of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys held a confab on the West beach. I am a colleague of both CLLA and ABI and had the peculiar satisfaction of speaking at both conferences. In between my panels, I tried to absorb as much of the proficient CLE offerings as I could, but there was so much more I could have done. I started my CLE marathon in Chicago on Thursday April 29. I heard supreme presentations on electronic demonstration (horrifying jam) and internet law sponsored by the Complex Lawsuit Board. If the trust card companies get judgments against you they are valid for up to 30 years and earn interest. So, if you ever turn your life around, you will still have these hanging over your fountain-head.
