My parents are separated, they've been separated for 7 years. My mom is planning to walk for bankruptcy this year. But she wants to know if her filing for bankruptcy will affect my father and his life in anyway.

If they are only "separated" and not divorced. Then I'm about 90% definite it will affect your dad as well.

But I'm not an expert. Before she files, why doesn't she talk to the person filing her paperwork?
