Proposition beyond the shadow of a doubt : can I reinstate an rrsp before prevailing bankrupt in Ontario ?

Be to blame for : When you walk for bankruptcy in Ontario , you are required to squeal to your bankruptcy trustee all assets you have liable of or redeemed in the sometime twelve months (or up to five years in positive cases). Thus if you cashed in your RRSP today, and went bankrupt tomorrow, you would have to give your trustee with details of how much you received, and what you did with the gelt.

If you cashed in a $500 RRSP because you were behind on your fee and were about to be evicted, it presumably won’t engender any issues.

However, if you cashed in a $10,000 RRSP and gambled the wherewithal away, your creditors will purposes obviate your salvo from bankruptcy and ask the bankruptcy court to drag on your bankruptcy until you have paid some or all of the specie back.

Since your RRSP is on put with Receipts Canada, there is no idea in hiding something like this from the trustee; they will find out later on from Canada Receipts Activity. We propose you talk over this with your trustee quondam to making the settling to portfolio for bankruptcy.

Will filing for personal bankruptcy hinder my ability to obtain a work visa or resident visa in Philippines?

I am a Canadian voter planning to move to the Philippines. My wife, who is also a CDN citizen but born in the PHP does not have her dual citizenship yet. We plan to run the kindred business there.

No you can remain in PI indefinitely on a tourist visa. All you need to do is keep extending it and go to a nearby country every 2 years for 24 hours i think and come back again and start the process again. Each time you enter you need a cheap ongoing ticket
