I would do a search for Michigan Bankruptcy Lawyers from this locale. http://www.targetlaw.com. Its an all attorney search engine and you will have no problem locating a lawyer from here. What I would personally do was look over a dozen or so websites

You are being scammed!!! If there were a referral fee, the bencher would pay it, not you. If someone is trying to claim ANY of any award your mother might get, and your attorney is agreeing to it, run the other way and find a more reputable law firm.

My friend can not afford an attorney but needs to file bankruptcy chapter 7 in Michigan. Any advice???
